I forgot all about these when I blogged my last Arctic Monkeys post, but here’s two promotional type pieces I actually made before the minimal posters. The first one is obviously advertising their album ‘Suck It and See’, while the second is basically just an idea I got from a poster I saw for the film ‘The Social Network’.

For those of you that don’t know, I’m a huge Arctic Monkeys fan! Their music always seems to get my creative juices flowing, and on the run-up to the release of their latest album ‘Suck It and See’ I decided to start a little minimal poster project dedicated to a selection of their songs (past and present). As you’ll notice, I’ve only actually made three so far, but I hope to continue the series and create at least a couple more sometime in the near future.

So, I recently opened up a forum called SooperCinema, which is for fellow movie goers, DVD collector’s, gamers, artists etc. to discuss anything they like basically. Although it is mainly aimed at collector’s and film fans, but please don’t let that put you off! I’m clearly rubbish at attempting to “sell” stuff to people, so I’ll quit with the banter and just cut to the chase.

Oh, but there is one thing I almost forgot to mention that may attract some of you… we do occasional competitions/giveaways on there. Obviously there hasn’t been many of them yet, as we’ve only been open for about a week. Nothing too fancy and yet again, these are something I put together a few months ago. I didn’t start them with an idea of what I’d like as an outcome or anything, I was just having a random play around basically. The one on the left was inspired by a ‘Clash of the Titans’ poster I saw, and the one the right was made using an old text logo I made years ago and then I just added a background to it. Will update with recent stuff soon!

So a few of my previous posts mentioned my Youtube account “MainstreamCollector” and the videos I’d created for it, but due to a few problems involving Google Accounts, I lost access to my Youtube (and I should maybe mention I also lost my DVD blog). Therefore, I’ve made a new one! Yet again it’s all totally based on my DVD and Games collection. Feel free to check it out at www.youtube.com/SooperDVDNoodles, and maybe even subscribe if you like. I’ve recently started getting the hang of Windows Movie Maker and so decided to put some of my dvd images to use by editing them in to videos and showcasing them on Youtube. A bit of a late update once again, but I took these a few weeks back using my sisters new lens for her Canon 1000D. My niece’s name is Ava, she’s almost 1 year old (May 3rd), and she’s the most beautiful baby I have ever seen in my life… no lie!

It’s been a while… again! Quite a bit has happened since I last updated, but I won’t bore you with the not so interesting details. Lets just say I don’t spend as much time on the internet as I used to (LIES!!). Also, another reason may be because of this www.nick-noodles.blogspot.com. Yep, you guessed it – I now collect DVD’s. This has actually led me to using my DSLR more, though, as all the photographs displayed on there are taken by none other than myself. I also recently made a short advertisement clip for the blog using Windows Movie Maker (for the very first time might I add). Check it out below if you’re interested…
